A worker is working on the underside of an elevated bridge (8
m high) on an aerial lift, hanging netting to prevent concrete from
falling.
The aerial lift is being moved so that the worker can begin working on the next location.
The worker was crushed between the beam of the elevated bridge and the control panel of the aerial lift.
Tips for preventing similar accidents
1.
Pay careful attention while operating machinery. Be
especially cautious about the areas above and behind you.
2.
Be fully familiar with the motion patterns (functions) of operating levers, and think about their movements in advance.
3.
Check that operators are certified, and ensure that they have
been fully trained.
